The NoMad Restaurant Is Headed Out To Los Angeles In 2017
NYC's hit restaurant and bar The NoMad will open in Downtown L.A.
Los Angeles: Brace.
Will Guidara and Daniel Humm are opening an outpost of their decadent hotel, restaurant and bar, The NoMad, in Downtown L.A. sometime in 2017, Jonathan Gold reports. The pair promises that the restaurant won't be a carbon copy of the original, but, "There will definitely be a lot that is similar to the New York restaurant," Guidara tells Gold. That includes some of their most beloved dishes: "We'll be serving the seafood plateau, the foie gras-stuffed chicken and the suckling pig from New York—the classics," he says. "But the more time we spend out in Los Angeles, the more excited we become about the possibilities out there, and the real vitality of the chefs' community." So perhaps not everything will be as butter laced.
The duo, who are also behind the three-Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park in Manhattan, don't have any plans to take EMP out West with them, but, as Guidara explains, "When we took over Eleven Madison Park, we had no idea we'd be doing NoMad. Once we begin spending more time in Los Angeles, you never know what could happen."
