Flaviar Liquor Subscription
Flaviar's subscription transforms any home bar into an exclusive speakeasy
What do you do when your favorite neighborhood speakeasy isn't so secret anymore? You bring the bar home.
That's the idea behind Flaviar, a subscription liquor service that promises to turn your living room into the best bar in town. The company, which first launched in Europe, has spent the past five years compiling an impressive library of more than 15,000 rare bottles for its members. Imagine getting access to a vault filled with rare Japanese whiskies, Pappy Van Winkle flights and other hard-to-find vintages like a 1967 Macallan. You can even come home to test vials of specific liquors on your doorstep, so you can give them a try before shelling out for the full bottle.
You'll also have the opportunity to take part in what Flaviar calls "crowdtastings," where distillers create one-of-a-kind products specifically for members. Right now, the company is sending out samples of its very own cognacs for at-home connoisseurs to vote on which one should make it into production.
But just like any good speakeasy, there's a line to get into Flaviar: It grants memberships on a gradual basis to ensure everyone gets VIP service at the bar.
