National Margarita Day 2018 Special
Celebrate at La Loncheria to support a nonprofit organization that advocates for migrants
Drink a margarita; help improve someone's quality of life.
That's the simple two-step equation going down at La Loncheria on February 22βwhich also happens to be National Margarita Day. The team is hosting an event to benefit Border Angels, the non-profit organization that advocates for migrants, providing border rescue stations, education, immigration consulting and more. Β
In addition to La Loncheria's bartender, Ashley Smith, there will be a rotating cast of all-female all-star bartenders, each slinging her own type of mescal margarita, like one zinged up with peach tea, Suze and lime oil. Bar snacks like ceviche, chipotle meatballs and guacamole will also be on hand, and a pineapple-cucumber margarita will cost you just $5 during happy hour (4 to 6 p.m.).
The Bushwick restaurant is owned by two Mexico City natives, who say the cause "is very close to their hearts" and feel that now is a highly important time for the event. The party starts at 4 p.m.Β and goes through the night,Β so we suggest you cut out of the office early and chalk it up to goodwill.
